Cover story on physician burnout in Radiology Today magazine prominently features comments by Dr. Novelli who, along with several national colleagues, spoke on this subject at the national meeting of the SIR this past spring.
The MR Research Center (MRRC) at the University of Pittsburgh is dedicated to the development and application of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) for medical and biological research and is forging new paths in the use of functional MRI to study cognitive, sensory, and motor function in the brain. It operates as a University service center with over $2M in annual revenue and in excess of 100 individual faculty users.
Dr. Wendie Berg has been honored with the Dr. Bernard F. Fisher Chair for Breast Cancer Clinical Science award. Dr. Berg was nominated for this prestigious award because of her substantial contributions to the field of breast cancer imaging research, outstanding clinical care, education, and patient advocacy. Wendie’s scientific contributions are too numerous to recount in this email, but her work has been primarily focused on improving early imaging based detection of breast cancer, particularly in women with dense breasts or a personal history of breast cancer.
